ChildLine

Childline is the UK's free, 24 hour phone helpline for children in danger or distress, telephone number: 0800 1111.

Every sinlge day around 4,500 children in the UK call ChildLine, but a lack of funds means that only 2,500 of them will get through to Child Lines counsellors for advice, comfort and protection, cChildren can wait in a queue for up to 30 minutes which can be stressful, especially when they have finally found the courage to ring.

Almost 1 in 5 of the calls ChildLine receives is regarding abuse, lLast year alone ChildLine counselled nearly 140,000 young people, iIt costs nearly £38 to counsel a child and it costs £1,598 to recruit & train a volunteer counsellor.

By donating to ChildLine you can help them answer more of these phone calls, the children desparately need their help and often have no one else to help them, without your donations they would have no one.
