Great Ormond Street Hospital is a world leading children’s hospital based in London, with the greatest range of paediatric specialists found in 1 place anywhere in the UK. Great Ormond Street Hospital welcome aproximately 150,000 patient visits every year, treating people with the most complex, life threatening or life limiting conditions. GOSH are committed to finding treatments and cures for some of the rarest & most difficult illnesses.

Delivering there high standard of treatment, care and research is not cheap, they need to raise £50 million per year to fund the latest specialist equipment, redevelopment, medical research and family accommodation.


Many of the Great Ormond Street Hospital patients and their families are treated in hospital conditions that are crowded, uncomfortable, lack privacy and fall short of what families & staff deserve, cardiac intensive care for example offers only 1/3 of the space for patients staff say they need. To deliver the best modern care they need to redevelop the hospital.

 

Great Ormond Street Hospital opened on 14th February 1852 with just ten beds, two wards and twenty staff. Today they have 353 beds, 38 wards and 2,700 staff, treating children for a wide range of medical conditions. GOSH want to ensure the hospital remains a world class hospital giving new hope to children suffering from life threatening & complex conditions.
